I know it’s awfully British of me to talk about the weather, but the weddings this year have been nothing short of perfect for all of our couples so far this season and Amy & Ryan’s was no exception. A gorgeous, sunny day took place in the valleys of Sheffield’s stunning countryside. We arrived at Amy’s parent’s house and you could feel the excitement coming from the annex where the girls were getting ready…. And this was mostly about the Royal Wedding shown live on TV that all eyes were glued to. Charlotte did an amazing job on the makeup and the bridal party were looking totally radiant, of course Amy shone the brightest as the bride should on her wedding day. We also went over to Ryan’s parent house to see how the boys were doing and this was a calm affair, other than a few last minute showers and tie confusion but they were all excited for the day ahead, Ryan’s Dad popped a bottle of champagne (with one hand, which I found highly impressive!) and the celebrations were on their way. Back to Amy’s house and ready for the grand reveal to all bridesmaids and most importantly Amy’s Dad, safe to say there weren’t many dry eyes left in the house. Amy & Ryan’s wedding ceremony took place at Bradfield Church, Sheffield which is set in one of the most beautiful, picturesque village locations, it really was a pleasure to capture. The wedding reception followed at Whirlowbrook Hall, set in beautiful gardens full of Spring blossoms. With such beautiful weather the reception was held on the terrace and lawn and it was gorgeous relaxed affair. The speeches took place ahead of the Wedding breakfast and Ryan’s speech was one we won’t forget in a hurry, at the end he announced to the wedding guests that Amy was pregnant and their baby would be due in December! An amazing moment to capture the surprise and excitement. The evening guest flocked in and the party soon got under way with the help of a DJ Cheese On Bread and a Saxophonist playing funky house tunes that got most people up dancing! We loved capturing the wedding of such a lovely couple who had planned a truly beautiful wedding that was enjoyed so much by all.
